So in the absence of having some type of miracle expandable metal, Alameda Mini Storage (AMS) has built a facility full of different sizes and types of unit spaces, all ground level and with your storage needs in mind. It's Good To Have Choice GARAGE UNIT (G): This type of unit is what most people associate when they think about storage. With this choice, a tenant simply drives right to the unit, opens the door and accesses his/her storage space. It is the most convenient. It's like driving up to your own personal garage or shed. And with wide driving lanes throughout the facility, there is plenty of room to stage your goods whether you are in the process of moving in or vacating. HALLWAY UNIT (H): Not all, but a number of our 5 X 10 storage units are contained in a hallway environment. A hallway unit is one where you drive right up to a single door (just like a garage unit), open that door in order to access your space which is among a small cluster of 10 units sharing the same hallway. Some people prefer this type because fluorescent lighting exists in the hallway, the hallway acts as an additional shield against the elements while you're there, and a hallway unit is a bit cheaper. CLIMATE CONTROLLED UNIT (CC): This is a ground level building that is maintained at or about 70 degrees Fahrenheit all year around. We do not control the humidity aspect of the environment, but here in Colorado, humidity has never been a problem. The building contains space sizes ranging from 5 X 5 X 8 to 10 X15 X 8. Storing contents within this building would be the equivalent to storing goods in your own living room (provided you have an air conditioning unit for the hot summer months). Most people who rent this type of unit space are concerned about the sensitivity of the goods they wish to store (furnishings with delicate fabric, overly sensitive electronics, and pharmaceutical companies requiring that their samples be stored in this type of storage environment). Others simply like a more "dust free" space. It's good to have a choice! NORMAL UNIT (N): Most of our storage units have a ceiling height of 8 feet. This is considered a standard size within the industry. TALL UNIT (T): Some of our storage units are 12 feet high. For most people, an 8 foot ceiling is tall enough. However, for those who have tall ladders or scaffolding to store, it is nice to know that a few are available. | ||
